Volunteer
Pittsburghers always rally around a good cause – and a big game. This summer they got both. On June 3-18, more than 10,000 athletes and 30,000 visitors gathered to make the Senior Olympics the biggest game in town. To assure that Pittsburgh ’05 was a success, thousands of volunteers were needed. The Pittsburgh Local Organizing Committee recruited volunteers to fill a variety of roles and functions associated with the event. Positions included general volunteers (such as coordinators, drivers, and administration and field personnel) and medical professionals. Due to the overwhelming response from the fine folks in our region, general volunteer registration closed as of May 31, 2005. |
